Works | Upstate Art Weekend 2026 | David B. Smith Gallery

Gatherwild Ranch, in collaboration with Denver-based David B. Smith Gallery, is thrilled to present work by Sarah Allwine, Ashley Garrett, Anders Hamilton, Gustav Hamilton, and Darina Karpov during Upstate Art Weekend. Through ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and painting, these Brooklyn- and Hudson Valley-based artists examine landscape, cycles of growth and change, personal histories, and the moments and objects that shape everyday life. The on-site studio of Paul Jacobsen, located in a separate barn, features an installation of works on paper in dialogue with a new sculpture on the Gatherwild grounds.

We are excited to share a full weekend of programming. Thursday evening features a film screening and discussion with Jon Ronson, New York Times bestselling author, screenwriter, producer, and podcaster known for his influential nonfiction, cult-favorite works, and contributions to acclaimed films including The Men Who Stare at Goats, Frank, and Okja. Throughout the weekend, guests are invited to join plein air figure drawing sessions set against Gatherwild’s idyllic landscape or to refresh with a cold plunge and sauna. On Sunday, art advisor and collector Elaine Ronson will share insights on collecting and navigating the contemporary art market.

A reception with all of the artists will take place on Saturday evening from 5–7 pm. We look forward to celebrating together!
